Drizilik comes out swinging on “Alpha & Omega” with a distinct rapper’s flair that could only be forged in Central Freetown, Sierra Leone. Gracing a minimal, jazz-infused hip-hop production that would have felt right at home in the early 2000s, Drizilik effortlessly switches between cadences, showing off his intricate flow and lyrical dexterity, shedding sensitivity in favour of bold statements; thoughtful reflection giving way to social commentary through the lens of an apex social and commercial predator—the modern-day king meanders through themes ranging from nationwide dominance to injustice and drug abuse.
